Major Medical Health Insurance

Major Medical Health Insurance is protection against medical costs. A health insurance policy is a contract between an insurer and an individual or group, in which the insurer agrees to provide specified health insurance at an agreed-upon price (the premium). Depending on your policy, your premium may be payable either in a lump sum or in installments. Allow us to assist you in finding an affordable health insurance option for you, or your family, today!

Tax Credits and Reductions

Health insurance usually provides either direct payment or reimbursement for expenses associated with illnesses and injuries. The cost and range of protection provided by your health insurance will depend on your insurance provider and the particular policy you purchase. If your employer does not offer health insurance benefits you may wish to purchase health insurance on your own, and you may be eligible for Advance Premium Tax Credits to help lower your monthly premiums and make your health insurance much more affordable. You may also be eligible for Cost Sharing Reductions – a discount that lowers the amount you have to pay out-of-pocket for deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments.

We also offer Short-Term health insurance plans for those who are in-between jobs, or awaiting approval on a new policy, as well as Health Share Programs, like Medi-Share, or Aliera. Contact us today, and one of our licensed professionals can design a program specifically for you.

When can I buy insurance?

If you have a qualifying event, you can get covered through a Special Enrollment Period.

The next Open Enrollment Period, during which almost all Carolinas can buy health insurance, begins on November 1 and goes through January 15. Outside of Open Enrollment, you must experience a qualifying life change event in order to enroll in health coverage.

Life Happens

You can still buy health insurance (or make changes to your current plan) year-round if you experience certain changes in your life, including losing your job’s health insurance, changes in your income, moving, getting married and having a baby. Qualifying life change events, like these and more, make you eligible for a 60-day Special Enrollment Period.
